Currently a 3rd party application launches the script every 5 seconds. Can you just make ANY workaround that would block editing files mounted via gvfs and NOT erase it? mvincentmiller commented Jun 20, 2016 @p-boiko let's figure that out, and I'm definitely moving forward to contribute to Atom. This question and its answers are frozen and cannot be changed.

This creates a desktop mount/icon which you can open to get into the server in Finder. Since I’m a person who loves to have everything integrated into the standard GUI as good as possible I’ve been trying to find a solution for mounting directories/shares of that server https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSLTBW_2.1.0/com.ibm.zos.v2r1.cs3cod0/ftp125-10.htm
When offset is undefined then it's changed to -1. Works fine on gedit and I'm going to test Brackets now, but I love Atom and would like to keep using it. mvincentmiller commented Jun 19, 2016 I'm also looking at this as a way to contribute. Thanks to the stack trace we see that the call is made from fs.writeFileSync().

The problematic one is using FTP and is reported as "Microsoft FTP" I think this issue may only pertain to gvfs mounted FTP, not SFTP. OS X still does not have native support for SFTP mounts in the Finder. You have to get reputation. +1 :-) –splattne May 21 '09 at 10:30 You can't uninstall "FTP Drive" from Windows XP without rebooting your computer. –djangofan Jan 31 '12 You can make your access to your ftp resource easier with curlftpfs linux utility.
P pimms last edited by Hello guys, I recently installed a FOG Server on RHEL7. Might help to keep complaints to a minimum. The access denied error -5000 is one of permissions, so you will need to check if you have access or need to authenticate in order to mount it. http://www.thxbye.de/mac/mac-mounting-ftpsftp-volumes-with-the-finder.html The command will look similar to the one below: # curlftpfs -o allow_other ftp-user:This email address is being protected from spambots. mvincentmiller commented Jun 20, 2016 @benogle might have some insights on the status of pull requests or Atom's development in general. @p-boiko Regardless of pulls / merges a person could still Reply Quote 0 Tom Elliott Senior Developer last edited by selinux disabled?

Sadly, after endless amounts of investigation and searching on google, I didn’t find a solution that works apart from “Use Transmit, it’s as close as you will get!”. Feels like a last-ditch security measure. FTP file is not saved, it is erased instead.
And SCP is of course accessible from the Terminal. Thanks for looking into this! Kryten-Starbug was built to last sir.
