For any developers reading this, consider including the libraries when someone adds gcc. The final option is to remove the exixting gcc compiler and install the new one. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19580758/gcc-fatal-error-stdio-h-no-such-file-or-directory

Please suggest how I can compile programs containing the math library functions with GCC 4.8.1. A better compile line would be: gcc -Wall -Wextra -pedantic -o soma soma.c That line will give you a lot of help and hints.
The problem is exactly what the title indicates: when I write a program in C language and it contains #include
Oh by the way, this is the usual output I get when trying to compile: $ gcc -o test test.c -lm test.c:1:19: fatal error: stdio.h: No such file or directory #include compiling c share|improve this question edited Jan 18 '15 at 22:05 Braiam 16.9k955100 asked Jan 18 '15 at 21:38 Vitor Mazuco 3943822 closed as off-topic by Braiam, jimmij, Faheem Mitha, John Not the answer you're looking for? check here shell returned 1 installed build-essential [email protected]:~$ sudo apt-get install build-essential [sudo] password for cliffm: Reading package lists...
