I was trying to boot a Hiren boot cd from my cd rom I followed diddy tutorial(http://diddy.boot-la...os/Grub4dos.htm)but it didnt work for me..He is describing different options but none of them worked. No Windows, no Gates, Apache inside!!! This is all being done from 3 different Hard drives so i know i didnt over right them (also i know by fdisk -l).

If you move the grub.conf around (change the physical location not directory location) the boot loader can no longer find it. When booting was going a status message ' did not succeed in making an image for next boot' was shown. If that does not work, I will attempt to switch to LILO. but the partition manager shows me the order.
Im still in the process of converting over but i still need my other partition.
