No choice but to transfer files to another machine, then upload from there. Always check that your routers firmware is up-to-date. Microsoft has no info on this fix. I have yet to be able to upload an FTP file to any site. Source
I'm able to connect to the FTP site and browse/send/receive files via the command prompt. Microsoft does seem particularly flaky on this network stuff. This exact same machine and setup had no problems uploading FTP using Vista 32 or 64 (Ultimate). PropertySheetHan dlers should be PropertySheetHandlers without a space in it. January 11th, 2009 10:56am I am having a similar issue in that I am unable to upload to my ftp remote server. Internet Speed Cable - 50 Mbit down / 12 Mbit up advertised (60 / 20 act.) Antivirus M$Se / MBAM Premium / MBAE Premium / WinPatrol Pro Browser Chome(dev) / Canary And as I'm running RC 7100 there's no way to report the problem either. I suppose then the faulty algorithm in the WHS Drive Extender software doesn't bother you?
Is the place your installs try to use (typically c:\windows\temp) now set read-only? IE 8 is still in a beta phase through out the rest of the OSs that it supports, so it is not surprising that some things still don't work. No luck uploading FTP via explorer. Make sure you have permission to access this folder.
Most of the installers dont work. Hope they fix it soon! This just shows once again how much tinkering WHS requires it's users to experience as unpaid testers!!! Your article was simple to follow and very helpful, thanks again.
