Yes No Sorry, something has gone wrong. The camera store where it was purchased told me not to fix it, to just buy a new one! I had a friend that let me try to fix her Canon PowerShot SD600 after it produced a lens error and wouldn't do anything. The company told me to send it to NJ for repair, at my own expense.
If the lens extends even further, grab it again at its furthest extension, preventing it from returning. Appeared that the lens was misaligned. Only this time using a little more force than before. We locked down the site within a couple of minutes of the intrusion and after much investigation have been able to remove the changes the intruders made.
None of these methods involve opening the camera, although some have potential to cause other damage to the camera if excessively done. I'm re-charging the battery (it had sitting a while) and who knows?
